On May 27, 2024, a sister and I visited Penn-Dutch. Here are the few photos I took.
Dienner's, where we ate. Buffet style. Not a big place but there was enough food and desserts. Everything was delicious. Food was fresh.
The restaurant was next to Dutch Haven. Found out that Dutch Haven sells a lot more than Shoo-Fly Pies!

May 27th continued
Kitchen Kettle, on way to Pepper Lane. It rained in NY as we were leaving, in New Jersey and in PA.

Shady Maple and Train Ride - July 17, 2024
After lunch in Shady Maple Smorgasbord in East Earl, we headed to Strasburg, for the train ride. Shady Maple was extremely crowded. There were 17 passengers on this tour.
At about 1:30 p.m. it began to rain. A heavy downpour with lightning. The streaks of lightning appeared to be very close to the van.
At the entrance of the railroad station, bricks are laid. I had requested this one. Mother, my sister and myself.
Since we were early, Elton and I decided to spend a few minutes in the Railroad Museum of PA across the street from the Strasburg Rail Road Station. Here is one of the many displays - utensils used and a menu

March 15th continued
Outside Shady Maple. This trip was only passengers picked up in Rego Park. We arrived at Shady Maple before 11 a.m. Breakfast was still being served.
My lunch: Fried chicken, butter noodles, mash potato, gravy, cranberry sauce, cranberry relish, corn, beets. sweet potato, etc. DELICIOUS!!! DELCIOSO!!!

Dienner's Country Restaurant, Ronks, PA. On the plate: dinner roll, mashed potatoes, cranberry relish, rotisserie chicken, beef tips, meat loaf, buttered noodles, beets, sweet potatoes, etc.
Tarts of all flavors, Penn-Dutch style: Key Lime, Red Raspberry, Coconut, Snitz (apple), Lemon, Raspberry, Strawberry, Lemon, Blueberry, etc.
