The museum we visited on our first stop.

Inside the museum. Various typewriters, etc.

Manta sign

There were many sayings like this posted on a wall of the museum. I liked many but decided to photograph this one.

"A star fell from the sky
It crashed on the ground
That's how men crash
When a woman says no."

Day 12 continued - 12/14/2023

Taken from inside the bus while it was stopped at a traffic light. A better photo of tower below.

We passed an area where boats are made

A boat almost completed

Monument to Panamá hat makers

The bus driver drove around the sculpture a few times so we could take photos.

Another view. Sculpture is in a roundabout,
a traffic circle.

We next went to a business that made figurines from
"vegetable ivory", Tagua.
A man in the location showed how things are crafted.

The fruit and pods. Pods get hard, allowing them to be engraved, etc.

Various figurines made from the vegetable ivory.

Like Panamá, Ecuador does not print paper money. It uses the US Dollar as currency. Here is front and back of one Sucre.

At one time, this is what the paper money in Ecuador looked like.

I got it from a man I ran into while taking photos from the waterfront.
