Sevilla was a fun city. We stayed at the Hotel Don Paco on Plaza Jerónimo de Cordoba 4 y 5. There was a bar next to the hotel and a park across the street.
People in Sevilla apparently like to sing. Everyone had a great voice, at least those that sand on the streets next to the hotel.
The Sevillanos' Spanish is very close to that of the Caribbean. They, too, drop the final "S" in words.
It is said that many of the ships that sailed to the "New World" sailed from the port of Sevilla.
Spain, Gibraltar , Ceuta, Morocco
1993
On our way to Algeciras to get the ferry, we stopped at a winery, Bodega San Blas, in the Cadiz province.
Photos of dead bull fighters, who died in the ring, posted on the barrels.
Ferry used to get to Morocco. The bus travelled with us.
Gibraltar (Also seen as the opening photo to this page.)
Two photos I stitched together. Doesn't it look like an individual on his back?

Aerial view of Cathedral, Ceuta. Part of Morocco that belongs to Spain. Once over the border, the bus had to stop. Armed guards came on the bus and slowly walked back and forth in the aisle. The bus had to get on a scale. Once cleared, we headed to Fes. We spent most of June 20th on the bus.

Tanger/Tangier. Explanation in French. Will give you the Google translation. "Tangier is built as an amphitheater on a limestone hill bordering the Gibraltar Strait."
Back to Spain
1993
Malaga. After Tanger, we sailed back to Spain. It was easier leaving than entering Morocco. We drove up the Costa Del Sol and then through Malaga.
Malaga. I must have been sitting in the front. To allow everyone to sit in the front, we rotated seats regularly. We headed to Granada.

"The best land in the world" (Explained incorrectly in old site.)
Alicante is a beautiful city. I felt as if I had been there before. Maybe I was there in another life?
From Alicante, we drove back to Madrid. I flew back to New York on TWA. I was upgraded to First Class due to a few Spanish Baseball teams who were in coach headed to the U.S. for a tournament. The agent told me he didn't think I would want to deal with all those noisy and rowdy kids. However, he did not tell me he was going to upgrade my ticket to First Class. I think that was nice of him! My seat was in the upper deck, the hump, of the 747. It was a great experience. Was this the only time I flew on a 747? I have no idea!!
The members of the tour group. I have no idea when or where this photo was taken.
